Hiki (prolonged) Daimoku

The basic practice is chanting Nam Myoho Renge kyo, also known as Daimoku.

This is supported by the practice of Gongyo, or reciting the Lotus Sutra, here the Hoben Pon and Juryohon

Chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and recitation is always started and concluded by Sansho

During Gongyo, after recitation of the Sutra, the Hiki daimoku precedes the reading of the silent prayers.
